The Pigeoncote host was recently sent a wonderful collection of British dovecote photographs. They were taken in the mid 1960s as part of Jean Margaret Taylor's teacher training thesis. Her husband took the photographs. The collection was sent to us and placed in the public domain without restrictions by the Taylors' daughter, and we are very pleased to be able to present them here.
Mrs. Taylor documented many dovecotes, and the locations of several are noted on the backs of the photos. There are also some with no location noted. We ask for your help in finding out more about them. If you are familiar with one or more of these dovecotes, please share what you know about its location and current condition, and we will publish that information on this page.
